Environment, people and governance — three fronts where Axon chooses to act with consistency and transparency.

Signatory of the UN Global Compact

Axon Transportes joined the UN Global Compact on July 7th, 2021 and committed to the Ten Principles on Human and Labor Rights, Environment and Anti-Corruption, and to work toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Ten Principles run through all our actions — staying aligned with and vigilant about each one of them is a fundamental requirement.

The Ten Principles were born with the Global Compact, in 2000, and are based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development, and the United Nations Convention Against Corruption.

Sustainable Development Goals

In 2015, the UN proposed to its member states a new sustainable development agenda for the next 15 years — the 2030 Agenda, comprising the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Axon Transportes works assertively toward the SDGs and the Rede Desafio 2030 network, in addition to running our own initiatives that contribute directly to sustainable development.

Axon invests continuously in projects that address the environmental, social and corporate governance pillars, to keep becoming more and more an ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) company.

Social responsibility

We support Complexo Pequeno Príncipe, a national reference hospital in treating children with cancer. We are also a Partner Company of Hospital Erasto Gaertner, another reference oncology unit. We run a national investment plan for parks for children with physical disabilities, in partnership with the local community — installing adapted toys, providing space for parents to stay close, and with nearby accessible parking.

Corporate governance

External audit on the transparency and soundness of Axon S/A's financial figures, conducted by Grant Thornton. Corporate ethics channel, managed by an independent third-party, to receive and handle reports on any matter, from any person (third parties, employees, clients or suppliers), via portal.
